ABN's flagship series dominates Thursday nights from March until October. An even split between high speed, high intensity oval racing, and methodical, and sometimes brutal road course racing lives up to ABN's competitive mantra: Better, Faster, Tougher.
Drivers will have a maximum of 90 minutes to practice for each race the night of each event. For ovals, this begins at 7:20 p.m. ET, for road courses, it begins at 7:00 p.m. ET
For ovals, Champ Car drivers will have the track to themselves for 4 laps. For road courses, they will have to communicate, and navigate each other on the way to setting that potential pole position time.
After qualifying ends, a driver's meeting will be held with all the qualifying drivers before the race starts.
Showtime kicks off at 9:10 p.m. ET, unless it's the Arrowhead 500. Races are expected to take less than 2 hours to complete.
